A Novel Approach For Enacting Distributed Business Workflow on the Peer-to-Peer Platform

Abstract

This paper describes the development of a distributed multi-agent workflow enactment mechanism using BPEL4WS specification. It demonstrates that a

multi-agent protocol (Lightweight Coordination Calculus (LCC)) can be used to interpret a BPEL4WS specification to enable distributed business workflow using web services composition. It can also be view as deploying distributed workflows on Peer-to-Peer platform as the first step to build large and complex business process oriented p2p system without changing the high level business rationale.
